Custom Proposals vs. Estimates: Which One Is Right for You?
Custom Proposals vs. Estimates: Which One Is Right for You?
By the end of our consultation call, we've covered a lot of ground. Your vision, your priorities, and the details that matter most to you. And so, I'll offer you a choice for your next steps: an estimate or a custom proposal.
Both are wonderful options, and neither is the "wrong" answer. They simply serve different couples at different stages of the planning process. Here's what each one includes so you can decide with confidence.
The Estimate: A Great Starting Point
If you're still orienting yourself around budget, or you'd simply like a number to reflect on before moving forward, an estimate is a great place to begin.
After our call, I take everything we discussed and put together an investment figure that reflects your vision. It's based on our specific conversation and may include a mood board where it's helpful. The goal is to give you something clear and honest to work with as you make your decisions.
There's no pressure to move quickly. The estimate is simply a foundation.
The Custom Proposal: The Full Vision
The custom proposal is a paid deliverable, and it's designed to be something you truly treasure.
This is a complete, carefully detailed document built around your wedding (never a template!). Inside, you'll find a color palette developed specifically for your vision, creative direction, curated inspiration imagery for each item (from your bridal bouquet to your reception tables), itemized pricing, detailed descriptions, and my personal recommendations tailored to your venue, season, and style.
If you're someone who makes decisions best when you can see the full picture, then this was made with you in mind. The custom proposal is something beautiful to sit with, share with your partner, and return to as you move through the planning process. It removes the guesswork and gives you a clear and confident path forward.
Which One Is the Right Fit?
An estimate is ideal if you're in the early stages and want an initial sense of investment before committing to next steps. A custom proposal is the right choice if you're ready to move forward and want a complete, visual, detailed plan to guide your decisions.
Whichever direction you choose, you'll have everything you need to move forward with clarity.
